Healthy volunteers are participants who do not have a disease or condition, or related conditions or symptoms

An interventional clinical study is where participants are assigned to receive one or more interventions (or no intervention) so that researchers can evaluate the effects of the interventions on biomedical or health-related outcomes.

An observational clinical study is where participants identified as belonging to study groups are assessed for biomedical or health outcomes.

Searching Both is inclusive of interventional and observational studies.

You can narrow your results further by searching each trial’s description for a specific word. Keep in mind that this will search the full description. We recommend carefully reviewing each trial information to ensure that it is an appropriate fit for you.

  • Binimetinib Plus Belinostat for Subjects With Metastatic Uveal Melanoma

This research study is investigating Binimetinib and Belinostat in participants with metastatic uveal melanoma. The research study will test the study drugs to see if the combination of binimetinib and belinostat can make tumors shrink or stop growing.

  • Bivalent Vaccine With Escalating Doses of the Immunological Adjuvant OPT-821, in Combination With Oral β-glucan for High-Risk Neuroblastoma

In the first part of this study we found the highest dose of the vaccine that did not have too many side effects. We are now trying to find out what effects the vaccine has when given at the same dose to all patients. The main treatment in this protocol is a vaccine. It is called a " bivalent vaccine" which means it has 2 antigens. An antigen is a specific protein on the surface of a cell. The antigens are called GD2L and GD3L. We want the vaccine to cause the patient's immune system to make antibodies against the antigens. Antibodies are made by the body to attack cancer (and to fight infections). If the patient can make antibodies against the 2 antigens in the vaccine, those...

  • Blood-Brain Barrier Disruption Using Transcranial MRI-Guided Focused Ultrasound

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of BBB disruption using transcranial MRI-guided focused ultrasound in conjunction with an intravenous ultrasound contrast agent to increase the accumulation of doxorubicin in brain tumours and the adjacent brain using the ExAblate Transcranial system (220 kHz). Data will be collected to establish the basic safety of this type of treatment as the basis for later studies to evaluate its clinical efficacy.

  • Blood Flow MRI for Monitoring Brain Tumors

The investigators are studying the use of an advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technique for measuring blood flow into brain tumors. This technique does not use radioactive tracers, and it can provide high quality images that can be obtained in a standard MRI scanner.

  • Blood T-Cells and EBV Specific CTLs Expressing GD-2 Specific Chimeric T Cell Receptors to Neuroblastoma Patients

Patients have high-risk neuroblastoma, a form of cancer typically found in children. The patients previously participated in a gene transfer research study using special immune cells. This research study combines two different ways of fighting disease, antibodies and T cells. Antibodies are types of proteins that protect the body from bacterial and other infections. T cells, also called cytotoxic T lymphocytes or CTLs, are special infection-fighting blood cells that can kill some tumor cells. Both antibodies and T cells have been used to treat patients with cancers and while they have shown promise, they have not been strong enough to cure most patients. The antibody used in this...

  • BO-112 With Pembrolizumab in Unresectable Malignant Melanoma

This is a phase 2, single arm, open label, adaptive design study to determine the preliminary anti-tumor activity and confirm the safety of IT BO-112 in combination with intravenous (IV) pembrolizumab. The study will enroll patients with advanced and/or metastatic melanoma that have progressed on anti-PD-1-containing treatment.

  • BOXR1030 T Cells in Subjects With Advanced GPC3-Positive Solid Tumors

This is a first-in-human (FIH), Phase 1/2, open-label, multicenter study to assess safety and determine the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) of BOXR1030 administration after lymphodepleting chemotherapy (LD chemotherapy) in subjects with glypican-3 positive (GPC3+) advanced solid tumors.

  • BRAINFUL (BRAIN Tumor Focused Ultrasound-enabled Liquid Biopsy) Trial

Background: Accessing brain tumor material for pathological diagnosis requires invasive procedures that carry risk to patients including brain hemorrhages and death. Liquid biopsies are emerging non-invasive alternatives to direct tumour biopsies but the abundance of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is relatively low and this limits our ability to accurately make the molecular diagnosis of brain tumors. We have recently shown promising results that suggest that the analysis of blood samples can distinguish brain tumor types. We now want to couple liquid biopsies with high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to enhance the release of tumor DNA into the circulation and increase the...

  • Brain Metastases in Norway - A Prospective Cohort Study

The overall aim and primary outcome of this study will be a descriptive analysis of the current treatment practice of BM in Norway. Specifically, it may give answers to the following research questions: - What is the true incidence of BM in Norway? - How are patients with BM treated at present? - Do treatments differ between hospitals? - How do treatments impact quality of life of the patients? - Which factors (treatment, tumor and host variables) can explain disease control, survival, symptom relief, and general functions? - How can BM staging be improved?
