Physician/Patient Choice of Either High-Dose Recombinant Interferon Alfa-2B or Ipilimumab, Versus Pembrolizumab in Treating Patients With Stage III-IV High Risk Melanoma That Has Been Removed by Surgery
This randomized phase III trial studies how well pembrolizumab works compared with the current standard of care, physician/patient choice of either high-dose recombinant interferon alfa-2B or ipilimumab, in treating patients with stage III-IV melanoma that has been removed by surgery but is likely to come back or spread. High-dose recombinant interferon alfa-2B may help shrink or slow the growth of melanoma. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as ipilimumab and pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. It is not yet known whether pembrolizumab is more effective than the...

Physiological MRI for Precision Radiotherapy IDH-wildtype Glioblastoma
After surgery, a key step in treatment of patients diagnosed with glioblastoma (high grade brain tumour) is radiotherapy. The ideal clinical target volume (CTV) for radiotherapy treatment planning includes all tumour cells remaining after surgery. Currently, the GTV is delineated on conventional imaging techniques that are only visualizing macroscale structural changes due to the presence of a large number of tumour cells. After delineating these visible macroscale changes, the GTV is expanded in all directions with 1.5cm into visibly healthy tissue to account for microscale tumour invasion. This standard CTV therefore also contains healthy tissue that should not be receiving...

Pilot Study of a Metabolic Nutritional Therapy for the Management of Primary Brain Tumors
This study will look at the effects, good and/or bad, of treating primary brain cancers with diet therapy using an energy restricted ketogenic diet (ERKD) that uses food. An energy restricted ketogenic diet is a diet designed to keep blood sugars in the low range of normal while at the same time increasing the blood concentration of metabolic break down products called ketones. This diet is currently used to treat children with uncontrollable seizures. This diet is well tolerated by the children with minimal side effects reported after using the diet for years. - The main purpose of this study is to find out whether or not the energy restricted ketogenic diet will help...

Pilot Study of Optune (NovoTTF-100A) for Recurrent Atypical and Anaplastic Meningioma
The purpose of this study is to find out what effects, good or bad, the Optune device has on the patient and meningioma. This study is being done because currently there are no proven effective medical treatments for a progressive meningioma that has failed surgery and/or radiation. The study uses an experimental device called Optune. Optune is "experimental" because it has not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for this type of tumor, although it has been approved for a different type of brain tumor.

Pilot Study of the Effect of Trastuzumab and GM-CSF on Children with Recurrent Ependymoma
This study plans to detect the presence of trastuzumab by mass spectroscopy in relapsed posterior fossa ependymoma (PFEPN) tumor specimen pre-treated with a single dose of intrathecal (IT) trastuzumab, as well as to evaluate toxicity of intrathecal trastuzumab in combination with subcutaneous (subQ) Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) in children with relapsed PFEPN

Pilot Study to Determine Pro-Inflammatory Cytokine Kinetics During Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor Therapy
This research aims to identify clinical strategies to manage adverse events during immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy by (1) determining the impact of checkpoint inhibitors on metabolism through major CYP enzymes and (2) identifying associations between pro-inflammatory cytokine concentrations and negative clinical outcomes during checkpoint inhibitor therapy.

Pivotal, Randomized, Open-label Study of Optune® (Tumor Treating Fields) Concomitant With RT & TMZ for the Treatment of Newly Diagnosed GBM
To test the effectiveness and safety of Optune® given concomitantly with radiation therapy (RT) and temozolomide (TMZ) in newly diagnosed GBM patients, compared to radiation therapy and temozolomide alone. In both arms, Optune® and maintenance temozolomide are continued following radiation therapy.

PMCF Neo Pedicle Screw and Cage Systems
The objectives of this clinical observational study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy (performance) of the Neo Pedicle Screw System™ and the Neo Cage System™ interbody fusion device. To demonstrate non-inferiority of safety and function to an historical control from the published medical literature on competitive devices.

Postmortem Evaluation of Adrenal and Other Endocrine Tumors in Patients With Sudden Death
Sudden Cardiac Death is a leading cause of mortality and remains a major public health burden worldwide. Cardiac arrest due to coronary heart disease explains a large proportion of the cases, but if autopsy is not performed the exact underlying cause remains obscure in many adults who face sudden death outside heath care organizations. The investigators aim to find proof that primary aldosteronism is a risk factor for sudden death and to characterize the prevalence of adrenal pathology in sudden death of undetermined cause in a case-control study. In addition, the study aims to characterize the prevalence of other adrenal pathology i.e. silent adenomas, cortisol-producing adenomas...
