Healthy volunteers are participants who do not have a disease or condition, or related conditions or symptoms

An interventional clinical study is where participants are assigned to receive one or more interventions (or no intervention) so that researchers can evaluate the effects of the interventions on biomedical or health-related outcomes.

An observational clinical study is where participants identified as belonging to study groups are assessed for biomedical or health outcomes.

Searching Both is inclusive of interventional and observational studies.

You can narrow your results further by searching each trial’s description for a specific word. Keep in mind that this will search the full description. We recommend carefully reviewing each trial information to ensure that it is an appropriate fit for you.

  • Enhanced Adjuvant Therapy for Newly Diagnosed GBM With Partial Surgical Resection or Short-term Progression

This study is a prospective Bayesian adaptive randomized phase II clinical trial of enhanced adjuvant therapy for newly diagnosed glioblastoma with partial surgical resection or short-term progression. The Stupp regimen is the standard treatment regimen (control group), while the experimental group receives enhanced treatment by combining different drugs or increasing the radiation dose based on the Stupp standard treatment regimen. Participants will undergo screening and evaluation according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the protocol, within 28 days prior to randomization. Patients who agree to participate in this study will sign an informed consent form (ICF) prior...

  • EpigenOMic Determinants of the Neuroendocrine Phenotype As Biomarkers for Neuroendocrine Neoplasms

For GEP mixed neuroendocrine (NE) non-neuroendocrine neoplasms (MiNENs) a key issue affecting prognosis is sometimes the difficulty in obtaining a timely diagnosis, as the NE component is often localized in deeper anatomical locations and/or becomes prevalent over time. The tissue material of biopsies may be not enough to define the NE component when this is particularly small and this could impact on therapeutic decision. Furthermore GEP NENs need to be characterized for potentially druggable biomarkers and liquid biopsy has clear advantage to the solid one to this aim. Here, we will exploit epigenetic differences characterizing NE tumors to build a DNA methylation-based...

  • EQUITY GI: A Prospective Study to Enhance Quality, Inclusivity, and Trial Participation in Black Patients With Gastrointestinal Cancer.

This research study is being conducted to improve the quality of care of participants who have a diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancer (anal, colon, rectal, esophageal, stomach, small bowel, appendix, pancreas, gall bladder, liver, neuroendocrine tumor of gastrointestinal origin). This study has 3 components as follows- 1. Ensuring appropriate biomarker testing and evidence-based care: Biomarkers are molecules in the tumor or blood that indicate normal or abnormal processes in participant's body and may indicate an underlying condition or disease. Various molecules, such as DNA (genes), proteins, or hormones, can serve as biomarkers since they all...

  • Escalated Dose Proton Therapy Within the Multimodality Treatment of Glioblastoma Patients

The goal of this phase 1 dose finding study is to to assess the clinical tolerability and safety of escalated dose proton therapy in glioblastoma patients treated with multimodality treatment, according to treatment volume. The main questions it aims to answer are: - what is the maximum tolerated proton dose in glioblastoma patients? - is the maximum tolerated proton dose in glioblastoma patients dependent on treatment volume? - what is the recommended phase 2 proton dose in glioblastoma patients? Patients will be asked to undergo radiotherapy to step-wise escalated doses using proton therapy as part of their multimodality treatment. Patients will be...

  • Establishing Prospective Mediastinal Tumor Database of PUMCH

This study aims to prospectively document the population characteristics, imaging findings, pathological features, prognostic factors, etc., of patients with mediastinal tumors. Clinical information will be structured and processed, and it is recommended to establish a mediastinal tumors database at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. The goal is to provide support for the quality of diagnosis and treatment, clinical protocols, and medical decision-making related to mediastinal tumors.

  • ETMR One: An International Registry and Research Platform for Children With Embryonal Tumor With Multilayer Rosettes

This research is being done to find out more information about a brain tumor called Embryonal Tumor with Multilayer Rosettes (ETMR) by collecting medical information from children who have this disease. The purpose of this research study is to create and maintain a research database for patients with ETMR. The database will include information about occurrence rates, patient information, tumor tissue information, and response to treatment. This will help advance our understanding of this rare disease. In addition, this study will include obtaining survival data and evaluating therapeutic response to expert consensus therapy, and procuring patient tumor tissue.
