Healthy volunteers are participants who do not have a disease or condition, or related conditions or symptoms

An interventional clinical study is where participants are assigned to receive one or more interventions (or no intervention) so that researchers can evaluate the effects of the interventions on biomedical or health-related outcomes.

An observational clinical study is where participants identified as belonging to study groups are assessed for biomedical or health outcomes.

Searching Both is inclusive of interventional and observational studies.

You can narrow your results further by searching each trial’s description for a specific word. Keep in mind that this will search the full description. We recommend carefully reviewing each trial information to ensure that it is an appropriate fit for you.

  • Escalated Dose Proton Therapy Within the Multimodality Treatment of Glioblastoma Patients

The goal of this phase 1 dose finding study is to to assess the clinical tolerability and safety of escalated dose proton therapy in glioblastoma patients treated with multimodality treatment, according to treatment volume. The main questions it aims to answer are: - what is the maximum tolerated proton dose in glioblastoma patients? - is the maximum tolerated proton dose in glioblastoma patients dependent on treatment volume? - what is the recommended phase 2 proton dose in glioblastoma patients? Patients will be asked to undergo radiotherapy to step-wise escalated doses using proton therapy as part of their multimodality treatment. Patients will be...

  • Establishing Prospective Mediastinal Tumor Database of PUMCH

This study aims to prospectively document the population characteristics, imaging findings, pathological features, prognostic factors, etc., of patients with mediastinal tumors. Clinical information will be structured and processed, and it is recommended to establish a mediastinal tumors database at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. The goal is to provide support for the quality of diagnosis and treatment, clinical protocols, and medical decision-making related to mediastinal tumors.

  • ETMR One: An International Registry and Research Platform for Children With Embryonal Tumor With Multilayer Rosettes

This research is being done to find out more information about a brain tumor called Embryonal Tumor with Multilayer Rosettes (ETMR) by collecting medical information from children who have this disease. The purpose of this research study is to create and maintain a research database for patients with ETMR. The database will include information about occurrence rates, patient information, tumor tissue information, and response to treatment. This will help advance our understanding of this rare disease. In addition, this study will include obtaining survival data and evaluating therapeutic response to expert consensus therapy, and procuring patient tumor tissue.

  • European Prospective Investigation Into Childhood Cancer

Over the last decades, research has shown that poor nutritional status can adversely impact prognosis and increase toxicities during treatment for childhood cancer. EPICkids is a collaboration between the International Initiative for Pediatrics and Nutrition, the International Agency for Research on Cancer, and sites throughout three Southern European countries (Spain, Greece, and Italy). The primary aim of EPICkids is to establish an informational resource on critical nutrition parameters wherein we can describe the trajectory of nutritional status among Southern European children and adolescents with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and favorable biology brain tumors,...

  • Evaluate the Effectiveness and Safety of Raman IVD Analyzer in the Molecular Diagnosis of Gliomas During Surgery

To distinguish various molecular subtypes of gliomas by spectra data obtained from Raman analyzer, including IDH mutant, 1p/19q-codeleted, ATRX deletion, TERT promoter mutation, MGMT promoter methylation, EGFR amplification, H3 K27-altered, TP53 mutant, PTEN deficiency, ki 67, AQP4, VEGF, and so on, comparing with the results of Immunohistochemistry or genetic test on the same brain tissue samples.

  • Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Atorvastatin Combined With Temozolomide in the Treatment of Glioblastoma

Glioblastoma (GBM) is the primary intracranial malignant tumor with the highest morbidity and mortality, and the 5-year survival rate is less than 10%. The number of primary diagnostic patients and deaths of GBM in China ranks first in the world every year, which seriously threatens people's life and health. At present, the clinical treatment strategy of maximum surgical resection combined with concurrent chemo- and radio-therapy and TTF treatment is still not satisfactory, and the median survival time of GBM patients is only 14.4 months. Statins inhibit cholesterol production with few side effects and are widely used for cholesterol control in patients with hyperlipidemia. In...

  • Evaluate the Role of Anthracycline After Radio Therapy in Patients With Glioblastoma (pGBM).

Glioblastoma (GBM) and diffuse intrinsic bridge gliomas (DIPG) only the most aggressive forms of cancer, and their prognosis remains bleak. Currently, the standard of treatment is TMZ concomitant with radiotherapy, and, at the end of combined treatment, as adjuvant therapy. In vitro and in vivo experimental studies have suggested that anthracyclines are effective antineoplastics for the treatment of gliomas. In patients with solid tumors treated with anthracyclines, continuous infusion administration compared with bolus administration has been shown to provide a better safety profile especially with regard to cardiotoxicity. Based on this evidence, this study aims to evaluate the...

  • Evaluate the Safety and Preliminary Efficacy of the Combination of NaviFUS System With Re-irradiation for rGBM Patients

This is an open label, single arm, prospective, and pilot study. Eligible patients will be enrolled after acquiring the signed informed consent and then will receive the treatment of re-RT combined with FUS (FUS + re-RT) on an outpatient basis. The re-RT in FUS + re-RT treatment will include fractioned stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) treatment (FUS + SRS) or conventional radiotherapy (cRT) treatment (FUS + cRT). The treatment of SRS or cRT treatment given to patients is determined by the investigator depending on the volume and location of the treatment region.

  • Evaluating High-dose Furmonertinib with Bevacizumab and Pemetrexed for EGFRm NSCLC with Leptomeningeal Metastasis

The primary objective of this clinical study is to evaluate the efficacy of high-dose furmonertinib combined with bevacizumab and pemetrexed (triple therapy) in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with leptomeningeal metastasis and epidermal growth factor receptor mutation (EGFRm) through overall survival (OS). The secondary objectives are to further assess the efficacy of the triple therapy in patients with EGFRm and leptomeningeal metastasis, including time to treatment failure (TTF), leptomeningeal objective response rate (ORR-LM), and clinical response rate. The study will also evaluate the impact of the triple therapy on quality of life using the EORTC QLQ-C30...
