Healthy volunteers are participants who do not have a disease or condition, or related conditions or symptoms

An interventional clinical study is where participants are assigned to receive one or more interventions (or no intervention) so that researchers can evaluate the effects of the interventions on biomedical or health-related outcomes.

An observational clinical study is where participants identified as belonging to study groups are assessed for biomedical or health outcomes.

Searching Both is inclusive of interventional and observational studies.

You can narrow your results further by searching each trial’s description for a specific word. Keep in mind that this will search the full description. We recommend carefully reviewing each trial information to ensure that it is an appropriate fit for you.

  • Radiation Induced Alterations in Resting State Brain Networks in Pediatric Brain Tumor Patients

With modern therapy, the survival rate for pediatric brain tumor patients has significantly improved, with over 70% of patients surviving their disease. However, this progress often comes at the cost of substantial morbidity, with cognitive deficits being the primary obstacle to independent living. Robust predictors of cognitive decline and a comprehensive understanding of the underlying mechanisms of cognitive injury remain elusive. This study will prospectively investigate alterations in brain resting state networks following radiation therapy using functional imaging. The hypothesis is that radiation therapy leads to dose-dependent alterations in functional connectivity in...

  • Radiation Therapy Followed by Intrathecal Trastuzumab/Pertuzumab in HER2+ Breast Leptomeningeal Disease

The purpose of this study is to find out if radiation therapy followed by intrathecal trastuzumab and pertuzumab is safe and will result in improved survival in HER2 positive breast cancer which has metastasized to the leptomeninges.

  • Radiodynamic Therapy (RDT) With Gliolan in Patients With First Recurrence of Brain Tumor

The investigational drug 5-ALA (known under the trade name Gliolan®) is an approved drug for the surgical removal of malignant glioma (WHO grade III and IV). In this trial, the drug is being tested outside of its actual approval as a radiosensitizer in combination with conventional radiotherapy for first-time recurrence (relapse) of malignant glioma. In this clinical trial, the investigational drug 5-ALA is being used for the first time in a multiple dose escalation regimen in combination with radiotherapy following surgical removal of a recurrent malignant glioma in humans. The investigational drug, 5-ALA, has been used as a single dose to date as a standard of care for...

  • Radioimmunotherapy in Solid Tumors (PNRR-MCNT2-2023-12378239-Aim2)

This is a prospective multicenter study of hypofractionated radiotherapy for the radiation treatment (RT) of solid tumors and in particular for Glioblastoma (in Aim 2). It is based on the results of ongoing studies at our Institute to validate the efficacy of extremely hypofractionated RT in neoadjuvant settings, which observed immunostimulatory effects of RT and the synergy with immune components. The collaboration between San Raffaele Hospital (Milan), the IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori Fondazione G. Pascale (Naples) and the San Giuseppe Moscati Hospital of National Relief and High Specialty (Avellino) will ensure that patient recruitment, treatment and monitoring can be...

  • Radioimmunotherapy with Lu-177 Labeled 6A10 Fab-fragments in Patients with Glioblastoma After Standard Treatment

Locoregional, intracavitary radioimmunotherapy (iRIT) with a newly developed radioimmunoconjugate (Lu-177 labeled 6A10-Fab-fragments) will be used to prevent or postpone tumour recurrence in patients with GBM following standard therapy . Following study objectives will be analyzed: - Determining the Maximum Tolerated Dose (MTD) - Determining safety by assessing all new neurological, hematological and other AEs CTC grade 2 or higher - Determining absorbed dose to the 2 cm shell of the resection cavity (based on a series of SPECT/CTs of the head 2h,24h,48h, 72h p.i. and on day 5-7) - Determining absorbed dose values for the kidneys, the liver, the...

  • Radiosurgery Induced Ototoxicity in Patients Treated for a Vestibular Schwannoma

The investigators aim to study the impact of stereotactic radiosurgery, for the treatment of vestibular Schwannoma, on the cochlear, vestibular, gustatory, and facial nerve functions and compare it with a conservatively treated group. The predictive value of radiological tumor characteristics on hearing preservation and vestibular function will be also evaluated. Additionally, the investigators will invite patients with vestibular Schwannoma to fill out questionnaires to assess their quality of life.

  • Radiosurgery With or Without Whole Brain Radiation for Multiple Metastases

This clinical study is a parallel, prospective observational single-centre trial in patients presenting with 5 to 30 brain metastases. Patients to receive either stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) alone or SRS plus whole brain radiation (WBRT) will be enrolled.

  • Randomized Interval Assessment Trial of Lu177-Dotatate in Slowly Progressive G1-2 Advanced Midgut Neuroendocrine Tumors

This is a randomized Phase II/late phase I de-escalation clinical trial with approved investigational medicinal products in new use condition, low intervention. Disease under study Patients with unresectable or metastatic, slowly progressive, well-differentiated (Grade1 and Grade2), somatostatin receptor-positive midgut neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs). It is planned to randomize 166 patients with a histologically confirmed diagnosis of slowly progressive grade 1 or grade 2 advanced midgut neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) candidates to receive 177Lu-Dotatate targeted radioligand therapy (RLT). Patients are required to have SSTR+ disease, as evidenced on somatostatin receptor...

  • RAPA-201 Therapy of Solid Tumors

The therapy of solid tumors has been revolutionized by immune therapy, in particular, approaches that activate immune T cells in a polyclonal manner through blockade of checkpoint pathways such as PD-1 by administration of monoclonal antibodies. In this study, the investigators will evaluate the adoptive transfer of RAPA-201 cells, which are checkpoint-deficient polyclonal T cells that represent an analogous yet distinct immune therapy treatment platform for solid tumors. The administration of polyclonal, metabolically-fit RAPA-201 cells is a novel adoptive T cell therapy approach that is suitable for regenerative medicine efforts. RAPA-201 is a novel immunotherapy product...
