Healthy volunteers are participants who do not have a disease or condition, or related conditions or symptoms

An interventional clinical study is where participants are assigned to receive one or more interventions (or no intervention) so that researchers can evaluate the effects of the interventions on biomedical or health-related outcomes.

An observational clinical study is where participants identified as belonging to study groups are assessed for biomedical or health outcomes.

Searching Both is inclusive of interventional and observational studies.

You can narrow your results further by searching each trial’s description for a specific word. Keep in mind that this will search the full description. We recommend carefully reviewing each trial information to ensure that it is an appropriate fit for you.

  • Fecal Microbial Transplantation in Combination With Immunotherapy in Melanoma Patients (MIMic)

Immunotherapy has helped many cancer patients in the last 5 years by enhancing a patient's immune system to fight cancer. Anti-Programmed Death (PD-1) immunotherapy drugs such as pembrolizumab and nivolumab remove the breaks from cancer-fighting immune cells and have been effective in treating some melanoma patients. Despite the major breakthrough of immunotherapy in oncology treatment, many patients do not respond to this new class of anti-cancer drugs. Recently, evidence suggests that the microorganisms living in a patient's intestines play a major role in modifying the response to anti-PD-1drugs. Patients who respond to these drugs have a unique and healthy group...

  • Ferumoxytol MRI in Assessing Response to Pembrolizumab in Patients With Glioblastoma

This pilot phase II trial studies how well ferumoxytol magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) works in assessing response to pembrolizumab in patients with glioblastoma. Diagnostic procedures, such as ferumoxytol MRI, may help measure a patient's response to pembrolizumab treatment.

  • FIH Clinical Investigation of Graphene Electrodes for Brain Mapping

The goal of this clinical investigation of a medical device is to test the safety of graphene based electrodes when used during surgery for resection of brain tumors. The main questions that it aims to answer are: - To understand the safety of the Graphene Cortical Interface when used during brain tumor surgery (primary objective); - To assess the quality of the brain signals recorded with the Graphene Cortical Interface, their ability to stimulate the brain, how stable their function is over the duration of an operation, and their suitability for use in the operating theatre (secondary objectives). Participants will undergo tumor surgery as usual...

  • Fimepinostat in Treating Brain Tumors in Children and Young Adults

This trial studies how well fimepinostat works in treating patients with newly diagnosed diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, or medulloblastoma, or high-grade glioma that have come back. Fimepinostat may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

  • Fluid Responsiveness in Posterior Fossa Tumor Resection: PPV and CVP Guidance

To answer the question: What are the differences in intraoperative fluid administration volumes between PPV and CVP-guided strategies during posterior fossa tumor resection in the park bench position?

  • Fluorine F 18 Fluorodopa-Labeled PET Scan in Planning Surgery and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Newly Diagnosed High- or Low-Grade Malignant Glioma

RATIONALE: New imaging procedures, such as fluorine F 18 fluorodopa-labeled PET scan, may help in guiding surgery and radiation therapy and allow doctors to plan better treatment. PURPOSE: This clinical trial studies fluorine F 18 fluorodopa-labeled PET scan in planning surgery and radiation therapy in treating patients with newly diagnosed high- or low-grade malignant glioma

  • Flu Vaccine Responses in the Setting of Melanoma Treatment

Influenza vaccination is indicated for all adults, but the immunogenicity of vaccination has not been assessed in all situations. We are conducting a prospective unblinded study of influenza vaccine recipients.

  • Focused Ultrasound Ablation and PD-1 Antibody Blockade in Advanced Solid Tumors

This study evaluates whether it is safe to Focused Ultrasound Ablation (FUSA) treatments with and without PD-1 blockade and with and without intratumoral poly-ICLC. A device called the Echopulse will be used for the FUSA therapy. Patients will be assigned to 1 of 2 cohorts depending on their disease and treatment status. In Cohort 1, patients will receive FUSA therapy while receiving PD-1 blockade therapy as part of standard clinical care treatment. In Cohort 2, patients who discontinue or are ineligible for PD-1 blockade therapy will undergo FUSA without concurrent systemic therapy, with the goal of utilizing the FUSA to boost the innate immune response. The optional secondary...

  • Gait Training Through a Novel Over-ground Wearable Robotic System in People with Pyramidal Hemisyndromes

Over-ground exoskeletons for gait rehabilitation are studied enough in people suffering spinal cord injury, and its clinical use is escalating in the industrialized countries. Nevertheless, studies on gait rehabilitation through exoskeletons in subjects with Pyramidal Hemisyndrome (PH) are recognized by GRADE as Low Quality of evidence. This interventional longitudinal pilot study is aimed to investigate the feasibility, clinical effects, and compliance (from the experienced therapists (Indego Specialists)' point of view) of using an over-ground wearable robotic system (Indego) for gait rehabilitation of people with PH in the clinical practice. Two substudies will be conducted...
