Versatile Ampification Single-Molecule Detection in Liquid Biopsy
The trial will test a paradigm-changing in vitro diagnostic device for Liquid Biopsy enabling facile simultaneous detection of protein and nucleic acid analytes with sensitivity at single-molecule level, e.g. not achievable with any alternative technology. A novel affinity-mediated transport amplification (AMT) method will be tested allowing for the multiplexed quantification of rare biomarkers circulating in blood. The Versilib AMT photonic biosensor will test two analytes: the known actionable DNA mutation BRAF p.V600E, and a melanoma-restricted protein antigen. The results will be compared to digital PCR and ELISA methods.

Verteporfin for the Treatment of Recurrent High Grade EGFR-Mutated Glioblastoma
This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of Visudyne (liposomal verteporfin) and to see how well it works in treating patients with high grade EGFR-mutated glioblastoma that has come back (recurrent). Visudyne is FDA approved in combination with light to treat eye diseases. In this study we use Visudyne by itself like chemotherapy to kill tumor cells which may be sensitive to verteporfin.

Vestibular Schwannoma Organoids
In standard of care regularly planned surgery, tissue will be obtained from patients who are suspicious for having vestibular Schwannoma (on MRI). The tissue that remains after the pathologist gathered sufficient for analysis, the remaining tissue is used for creating tumour stem cell organoids.

ViCToRy: Vorasidenib in Combination With Tumor Specific Peptide Vaccine for Recurrent IDH1 Mutant Lower Grade Gliomas
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of a PEPIDH1M vaccine in combination with vorasidenib, a dual inhibitor of mutant IDH1 and IDH2 enzymes, in adult patients diagnosed with recurrent IDH1 mutant lower grade gliomas.

The overall study objective of this trial study is to identify and evaluate strategies to improve the accessibility of the video education with result dependent disclosure (VERDI) model, increasingly utilized as a pre-genetic testing (pretest) education alternative in clinical practice, to better serve a more diverse patient population at risk for hereditary cancers.

In weekly expert meetings for oncological diagnostics and therapy, known as tumor boards, individual therapy recommendations are developed for cancer patients. By further developing and optimizing the CCCs' video tumor boards, initially using skin cancer as an example, we want to ensure that more patients can benefit from the expertise of several specialist disciplines and innovations - regardless of where they live.

Virtual Home-based Exercise Intervention (RISE) to Improve Cancer-Related Cognitive Impairment and Gut Microbiome in Adolescent and Young Adult Brain Tumor Survivors
This clinical trial evaluates the impact of a research intervention of virtually supervised exercise program (RISE) on cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI), physical activity in adolescent and young adult (AYA) brain tumor survivors. This clinical trial also evaluates the impact of RISE on the collection of microorganisms that exist in the intestines (gut microbiome). Up to 45% of AYA brain tumor survivors experience CRCI, including issues with attention and memory. CRCI can have a negative impact on education, independent living and can worsen long-term quality of life. Patients with digestive tract malignancy often experience severe and unremitting abdominal pain that negatively affects physical, emotional, and social function, as well as health related quality of life (HRQOL). Therapeutic virtual reality (VR) has emerged as a promising and evidence-based treatment modality for cancer pain. Vismodegib, FAK Inhibitor GSK2256098, Capivasertib, and Abemaciclib in Treating Patients With Progressive Meningiomas
This phase II trial studies how well vismodegib, focal adhesion kinase (FAK) inhibitor GSK2256098, and capivasertib work in treating patients with meningioma that is growing, spreading, or getting worse (progressive). Vismodegib, FAK inhibitor GSK2256098, capivasertib, and abemaciclib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

Visual Plasticity Following Brain Lesions
The VIBRANT (Vision Improvement through Behavioral Rehabilitation And Neuroplasticity Training) study is a prospective, double-blind, crossover design (within-subject) in participants with homonymous hemianopia-a type of visual field loss resulting from damage to the post-chiasmatic visual pathways. It aims to investigate whether transcranial random noise stimulation (tRNS) combined with perceptual learning-based training has potential for improving visual impairments.
